ITS2
The ITS2 sensor detects infrared radiation of the body and can be used in following applications:
• Remote temperature measurement
• Human presence sensing
• Human motion detection
• Passive light-barrier for people counting
In electrical facilities, ITS2 is used to control temperature of conductive elements, contact connections, and also as a motion and presence sensor.
The ITS is mounted opposite an object whose temperature needs to be measured, or opposite an area where presence or motion of people is to be detected. To achieve the most accurate temperature measurement, the sensor should be placed at a distance at which the measurement spot is 1.5-2 times smaller than the controlled surface area. The surface area should be painted in black matte color.
