ISL

ISL line status indicator is designed for use in monitoring systems for sections of overhead lines with a voltage of 6-20 kV.

The device provides registration of three-phase, two-phase phase-to-phase short circuits, as well as single-phase ground faults. Recorded events and waveforms of signals are stored in non-volatile memory.

ISL transmits the generated data to the ENCM-3 information acquisition device or other data transmission systems via the RS-485 interface.

The principle of operation of the indicator is based on the analysis of the strength of the magnetic and electric fields created by the load current and the voltage of the overhead wires. ISL simultaneously registers the field strength of industrial frequency (50 Hz) and higher harmonics (3rd-20th harmonics), which makes it possible to reliably determine the mode of a single-phase earth fault in a controlled section of the line.
